This September, our very own Ed Wyllie, UX Lead at Builda, will be lacing up his trainers to take on the world’s biggest half marathon, the AJ Bell Great North Run, in support of Team Solan.
On Sunday 13 September 2026, Ed will join around 60,000 runners on the iconic 13.1-mile route from Newcastle Upon Tyne to the coast at South Shields, as the event celebrates its 45th year.
Running for a cause close to home
Team Solan is a charity we know well. Since 2015, the team has provided support to children and adults affected by cancer or bereavement. Team Solan is also a valued Builda customer, using our no-code platform to manage Warrior support securely and efficiently, freeing up more of the team’s time for what matters most: the people they help.
So, when Ed announced he’d be running in their name, it felt like a perfect fit.
“This September my poor little legs and I will be attempting to complete the Great North Run, raising money for Team Solan, who I’m sure many of you will be familiar with,” said Ed. “I’d be incredibly grateful for any donations.”
Can you can support Ed?
Every pound raised goes directly to Team Solan, helping the charity continue its vital work supporting families affected by cancer when and where it matters most.

Everyone at Builda will be cheering Ed on every step of the way, from the Tyne Bridge to the finish line by the sea. Good luck, Ed!
