Excelpoint quickly developed a no-code employee wellbeing app through its no-code technology releasing a wave of benefits for the trust.
The Belfast Health and Social Care Trust (BHSCT) delivers integrated health and social care to approximately 340,000 citizens in Belfast. With a workforce of over 22,000, it provides the majority of regional specialist services to all of Northern Ireland.
Belfast Trust is committed to improving employee health and well-being. With this in mind, it created the b well initiative.
The initiative provides employees with support and information on a broad range of health and well-being issues. As part of the initiative, it required a solution to enable it to distribute expert advice and promote healthcare campaigns to employees.
It required a passive method of communication, publishing content and updates to employees from experts within the Trust. As many of the Trust’s employees do not have access to a PC during their working day, it required a solution accessible from a mobile device.
Excelpoint quickly developed a no-code employee wellbeing app, the b well mobile app using its no-code technology. Once the team in the Trust provided content, the implementation only took a matter of weeks.
The internal application is targeted at Trust employees. It is downloadable on iOS, Android and Windows devices. The app provides employees with access to information that is structured and categorised into formats to support the initiatives of the Trust. The categories include physical, mental and dietary content.
In support of specific campaigns, the app receives regular push notifications, again to encourage the employee to consider daily practices in the context of their overall well-being.
Information and push notifications within the app are updated and edited through Excelpoint’s no-code technology so that the Trust can coordinate and provide the most up-to-date health and welfare news to its employees.
Excelpoint provided the Trust with a tool to promote employee health and well-being through a simple multi-channel content management application.
Following the initial success of the initiative, the Trust moved to the next phase to include interactive feedback from the wellbeing app users, to engage employees more intuitively in the process.
The wellbeing app and website proved to be so successful that Belfast Health and Social Care Trust was shortlisted for the Wellbeing at Work Award at the 2017 Responsible Business Awards in Northern Ireland.
